Our Zion National Park biking trails are an activity the whole family can enjoy!
The mandatory shuttle running during the peak visitor season has made biking in Zion National Park a safer, more peaceful experience. The shuttle has especially improved biking the park’s 6.5-mile scenic drive because there is now very little traffic along the route. While the shuttle provides a relaxing, scenic ride through Zion Canyon, nothing beats the up-close, personal experience offered by a guided bike tour along the road.
Bike Zion makes biking in Zion National Park easy with its guided tours up the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. Since it is a paved road with little elevation change, the scenic drive is a journey the whole family can enjoy. Along the way, bikers hear about the park’s geology, history, and wildlife from one of our experienced guides while they view the canyon’s towering monoliths and hear the gurgle of the Virgin River. Visitors biking the scenic drive with us might also catch a glimpse of some of the canyon’s wildlife, including squirrels, lizards, wild turkeys and mule deer.
Participating in one of our Gooseberry Mesa or JEM Trail tours will make you feel like you are biking in Zion National Park. Even though the paths are outside the park boundaries, they offer constant panoramic views of the park’s towering rock monoliths nearby. The Gooseberry Mesa Trail traverses a tabletop mesa near Zion while the JEM Trail is an easy ride along the Virgin River west of the town of Virgin. Gooseberry Mesa provides many different options each biker can choose according to his or her ability level. Whatever trail you choose, you will enjoy making biking a part of your Zion National Park vacation.
