Named for its three trailblazers, John, Ellen, and Mike, the JEM Trail is a 12.9-mile path west of the town of Virgin that follows a sagebrush-lined rim along the Virgin River. Besides a short section of switchbacks, the trail is relatively easy. It offers spectacular views of the river’s deep red and white chasm and a fun downhill section near the end.
