At Bike Zion, we pride ourselves on offering the best mountain bike tours in southern Utah through impeccable customer service and friendly, knowledgeable guides. We offer everything from scenic tours on a relatively flat, paved road to more challenging rides on trails that feature switchbacks and uneven terrain. Our offerings include prescheduled tours and customized excursions best suited to our guests’ interests and ability levels. Every tour includes insightful narration about the region’s geology and history by one of our experienced mountain bike guides.

Our most leisurely tour is a jaunt up the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, which experiences sparse vehicular traffic because of the park’s shuttle system that began operating in 2000. In fact, the National Park Service prohibits all private automobiles past Zion Lodge, located approximately in the middle of the canyon. With little noise and traffic with which to contend, you will almost feel like you are in the backcountry because you can regularly hear the flow of the Virgin River and the calls of the park’s native birds. While on the tour, you will also hear insightful narration about the canyon’s history, folklore and geology from one of our guides. Fewer vehicles on the road allows for plenty of chances to view wildlife such as wild turkeys, mule deer, lizards and squirrels. To top it all off, the tour offers spectacular views of some of the park’s well-known towers of stone, including the Court of the Patriarchs, Angels Landing and The Great White Throne.

The other guided excursions we offer venture into some of the rugged backcountry west of the park, where our guests will view spectacular vistas of tabletop mesas, sandstone monoliths and deep chasms. In addition, we offer scenic road cycling trips and bike rentals for those wishing to explore trails our guides do not traverse. Both our scenic road cycling trips and our guided mountain bike tours include lodging, meals, and a running narrative from one of our experienced guides. Cycling trips include a support vehicle. We offer a variety of bike rentals, from full suspension bikes to children’s bikes to vehicle bike carriers.
